Overview

When using the Easy Calendar component, keep the below information in mind.

Time isn’t rounded

Time entered in the Easy Calendar isn’t rounded using the Time Tracking app’s Time Rounding feature. The entered time is saved as is.

One Summary per day

If the Entered For User has more than one existing Time Tracking Summary record for a particular day, the time for that day can’t be edited in the Easy Calendar. Time can be edited only if there aren’t any existing Time Tracking Summary records or exactly one Time Tracking Summary record exists.

Dates & Time Zones

In Salesforce, dates are stored in GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) format. In the UI, they are converted to the time zone specified in a user’s personal settings. The component uses the GMT format of the CreatedDate on a Time Tracking Summary when determining which existing records to pull into the component.

Record selections in the Choose Records modal

As of , some app functionality related to content in this section hasn’t yet been released. It is coming soon!

Keep the following in mind when selecting records in Easy Calendar’s Choose Records modal:

  1. If no Account is selected for a row, that row won’t appear in Easy Calendar after the modal’s Save button is clicked.

  2. If an Account is selected for a row, but no record is selected in the row’s Second Record field:

    1. The row will appear in Easy Calendar after the modal’s Save button is clicked.

    2. The Second Record column in Easy Calendar is blank.

    3. All Time Tracking Summaries related to the selected Account, regardless of how other Lookup fields are populated on the records, are included in the row’s time counts when Easy Calendar is loaded. Some Time Tracking Summaries may be counted for more than one row, if they have another Lookup field populated and that Account-Second Lookup field combination is present in Easy Calendar.

    4. When a time value is entered for the row and Easy Calendar is submitted, if a new Time Tracking Summary is created, the resulting Time Tracking Summary only has the Account field populated and no other Lookup fields populated.

  3. Record selections cannot be saved if there are any duplicate selections. Rows are considered duplicates if either of the following are true:

    1. The rows both have the same Account, Second Record Field, and Second Record selected, or

    2. The rows have the same Account selected and neither row has a Second Record selected.
